The Water We Want Contest

It is an annual initiative promoted by UNESCO's Global Network of Water Museums, of which Águas e Energia do Porto is a member through the Parque Patrimonial das Águas (Water Heritage Park). The objectives are to promote creativity from a visual expression perspective, to enhance and disseminate the cultural and natural heritage of water, to explore the diversity of representations associated with the concept of sustainability, and to stimulate artistic spirit.

The contest is open to all schools and educational institutions, targeting age groups from elementary school to higher education (6 to 25 years old), and entries can be in the form of drawings, videos, photographs, poems, or music.

Interested schools/classes should register to participate by sending their work to parquedasaguas@aguasdoporto.pt by the end of March. Águas e Energia do Porto will select 6 of the entries to be included in the final exhibition, The Water We Want, and compete for prizes.
