- Although it looked more like an ark than a fountain, it is believed that it had this dual purpose. The water that fed it came from a granite rock inside the ark itself. The water was drawn using a pump and the public service was provided through a tap on the outside of one of the side walls of the ark. The inside of the fountain is covered with a tile panel produced by the Fábrica de Cerâmica do Carvalhinho dating back to the 1920s.
