It was part of the fountain composed of the space that housed it, on the ground floor of a building that is now occupied by a commercial store, and the tank that received the water it released. It was located in the center of the tank, which, in its original form, occupied the width of the space. In 1825, José Ribeiro Braga donated the plot of land for its construction and requested an inspection of his property that year, through which an aqueduct from Paranhos and Salgueiros to the city passed.
